JENISON — After two years in the firearms business, Next Level Armament LLC has expanded its production facility to accommodate a surge in demand for its rifles and components.
Specifically, the 6,000-square-foot-expansion will allow the Jenison-based manufacturer to increase its packaging and order fulfillment capabilities — a choke point for the business in the past, said President Dave Warner.
“A lot of the restrictions on what we were selling wasn’t the ability to sell the product, it was the ability to produce, package and get it out the door,” Warner said.
The company invested $25,000 in the expansion project, which included removing a handful of walls, Warner said.
Overall, Warner expects production volume at Next Level Armament to increase roughly 200 percent this year, the equivalent of $3 million in annual sales.
The company was created as an adjacent business in 2014 by Warner, who also owns Jenison-based Next Level Manufacturing LLC.
