GRAND RAPIDS — Waterworks Car Wash LLC in Grand Rapids has sold to a Arizon firm with a growing presence in Michigan.
Tucson-based Mister Car Wash acquired the full-service location at 2205 E Beltline Ave. NE, which is just north of the Celebration Cinema. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“With this acquisition we are gaining strong talent and a solid platform for growth in the Grand Rapids area,” Joe Matheny, vice president of operations for Mister Car Wash, said in a statement.
The acquisition marked the second deal for Mister Car Wash in the state this year. In January, the firm acquired the family-owned Southland Auto Wash, which operated six car wash locations in the metro Grand Rapids area.
Matheny said the company expects to have the Southland locations integrated into its operations by mid July.
Mister Car Wash, a trade name of Car Wash Partners Inc., operates 223 car wash facilities in 21 states.
