• M&A: Zeeland-based BiaCare Corp., a manufacturer of compression garments and bandages, was acquired by SIGVARIS Group, a Swiss maker of medical compression textiles. BiaCare was founded 12 years ago and employs 22 people in Zeeland, according to a statement. The company developed a range of compression products with velcro wraps to treat lymphedema, lipedema and chronic venous insufficiency. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. SIGVARIS pursued the acquisition as part of its international growth strategy for medically complex compression applications, calling BiaCare “a pioneering leader” in the segment. For BiaCare, the deal “significantly increases our ability to provide physicians and therapists the compression solutions they need,” according to President Keith Hoffman.
Stryker acquires New Jersey-based Ivy Sports Medicine
Stryker Corp. has acquired Ivy Sports Medicine LLC, a Montvale, N.J.-based producer of products to repair meniscal tears in the knee.

• M&A: Indianapolis-based The XLerate Group, a portfolio company of Detroit-based private equity firm Huron Capital Partners LLC, has acquired Jenison-based Grand Rapids Auto Auction. The deal represents the second acquisition in a year for The XLerate Group, which acquired Schoolcraft-based Greater Kalamazoo Auto Auction in May 2015. XLerate provides dealer-to-dealer auto auctions for used vehicles. Grand Rapids Auto Auction, located at 2380 Port Sheldon Ct., provides used vehicle remarketing to fleet and leasing companies and dealers in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio. Terms of the deal were undisclosed. Through the acquisition, XLerate now has local auto auctions that operate 17 physical and mobile sites in Michigan, South Carolina, California, Texas, Wisconsin and Florida.
Stryker acquires U.K.-based Stanmore Implants
Stryker Corp. bought U.K.-based orthopaedic implant firm Stanmore Implants Worldwide Ltd. from SIW Holdings Ltd. for 35.6 million euros.
