Danckaert: At the onset, the goal was to improve the customer visit experience. Previously, customers traveled between multiple campuses to experience different parts of the client’s brand. By immersing clients in experiences in a more concentrated area, the client could increase the strategic value of visitor engagements while minimizing travel time and energy use. By clustering customer engagements in one campus, the design could make use of existing under-utilized facilities, restore the natural landscape, and create a cohesive and connected campus. This also provided a platform for highlighting the client’s commitment to design on their main campus.
Danckaert: This space is a visually engaging environment encouraging guests to explore how they can create strong connections in the workplace. The design of the space seeks to craft an experience that complements and enhances the client’s brand message. A simple sophisticated material palette presents a canvas backdrop to the products contained within the spaces.
Danckaert: We believe the design is set apart by the bold wall that forms the outer boundary of the space, allowing only a small glimpse into the showroom. The height of the repurposed manufacturing facility allowed the insertion of the mezzanine and volumetric form for the customer engagement zone, facilitating relaxed conversations and introducing a brand-centric architectural form. The project is platinum rated under the LEED Green Building Rating System for Commercial Interiors.
