Entrepreneur Jason Pliml Joins the MI-SBTDC Technology Commercialization Team

Grand Rapids, MI – The Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center (MI-SBTDC) State Director Carol Lopucki is excited to announce that entrepreneur Jason Pliml has joined the Michigan SBTDC network as a part of the Technology Commercialization Team.

“I am very pleased to make this announcement. Jason brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be an invaluable addition to our well established Tech Team,” said Carol Lopucki. “His expertise and experience with his own businesses will offer great assistance to advanced technology companies looking to grow. We look forward to having him as part of our network.”

Jason is an entrepreneur and business advisor with extensive software, financial and marketing expertise. A former software engineer, Jason graduated from Lake Superior State and worked his way up as a lead programmer for companies like American Electric Power and Herman Miller. Since then, he has founded and managed three profitable businesses, secured multiple rounds of angel funding, and negotiated the acquisition of his most recent company. He currently acts as an advisor and board member for several startup businesses and non-profit organizations.

As a Technology Business Consultant, Jason will provide business counseling and commercialization assistance to advanced technology companies in Michigan. Jason will be based in Grand Rapids and will have an office at the MI-SBTDC West Michigan Regional office at Grand Valley State University.
