Polk names Audry Robinson Vice President

Audrey RobinsonSOUTHFIELD, Mich. (December 5, 2011) – Audrey Robinson has joined Polk as vice president – government relations, the company announced today. In this role, Robinson will be the strategic leader for Polk’s government relations activities. She will lead Polk’s government relations team, providing policy and legislative direction. Robinson also will oversee contract negotiations with Polk’s state government customers.

“We are pleased to welcome Audrey to the Polk team,” said Mike Gingell, vice president of corporate development at Polk. “Her extensive experience and background working in the governmental sector will be a tremendous asset to our business moving forward.”

Robinson brings more than 15 years of governmental affairs-related experience to her new position. She most recently served as general counsel for the Charter Township of Canton, Mich. and also worked as manager of state government affairs at Reed Elsevier, Inc. She has state-level government experience as well, having served as policy advisor and legal counsel for the Michigan State House of Representatives and as a legislative liaison for Michigan Defense Trial Counsel in Lansing. In addition, Robinson worked in a variety of roles for two state senators. She graduated from Michigan State University with bachelor of science degrees in political economy and international relations, and received her juris doctorate degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland.
