Honigman's David Johnson elected to Stulberg String Competition board

KALAMAZOO — Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman) is pleased to announce that David Johnson, an Attorney in the firm's Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group within its Corporate and Securities Department, has been elected to the Stulberg String Competition Board of Directors.

The mission of the Stulberg Competition is to promote excellence in string instrument performance by gifted young artists under the age of 20.  The Stulberg is best known for its an annual international juried string competition, as well as the local concerts and educational events it holds throughout the year in Western Michigan.

Johnson, who is located in Honigman's Kalamazoo office, focuses his practice on patent protection in a variety of technical areas, including pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, medical device, software/hardware and business method patent applications.

Johnson earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. in Biology and English from Kalamazoo College.
