GRAND RAPIDS — Rhoades McKee attorney and shareholder Bruce Courtade has been appointed to serve as an Honorary Advisor to The Imagine Fund.

A statewide private scholarship program, The Imagine Fund (IFUND) serves to advance diversity in Michigan higher education. As stated on their website, the goal is simple: to ensure that diverse, first generation, academically qualified and economically challenged students throughout the state of Michigan have the resources to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams of a college degree. Honorary Advisors are individuals who share the common purpose with the IFUND mission and have demonstrated a commitment to diversity and inclusion – particularly in higher education.

Courtade is Vice President of the 41,000 member State Bar of Michigan.  He serves on the State Bar’s Attorney Discipline Board and is a Board Member of the West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology.  Courtade also serves on the University of Michigan’s Advisory Board on Intercollegiate Athletics, recently finished his term as Director of the U of M Alumni Association and is on the Board of Trustees of the University of Michigan Club - Grand Rapids Scholarship Foundation.

Courtade has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” and rated AV Preeminent (highest legal and professional ethical standards) by Martindale Hubbell.   Courtade received his B.A. in 1984 and J.D. in 1988 from the University of Michigan.
