Three new additions to staff at BCCF

BATTLE CREEK, MI–Battle Creek Community Foundation this fall announced that three new staff members have joined the organization. Amy Price joins the Community Foundation as Marketing Associate, Pam Wilson as Finance Associate and Marissa Nielsen joins the Homer Area Community Foundation as its Executive Director.

Executive Director at the Homer Area Community Foundation (HACF) and Marketing Consultant for the Community Foundation Alliance of Calhoun County (CFACC.)

Marissa joined the Homer Area Community Foundation as the Executive Director in August, though she has worked for CFACC for over a year.

As the Executive Director at the HACF, Marissa directs the management of the Foundation’s office, philanthropic development efforts, and oversees all fiscal responsibilities of HACF, an affiliate of the Battle Creek Community Foundation. Marissa has a bachelor’s of science degree in the field of advertising and public relations from Spring Arbor University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010. She minored in speech.

Amy joined BCCF in November where her primary function is coordinating marketing and communications activities for the Community Foundation.

Amy recently received her master’s degree in communications from Grand Valley State University and is no stranger to Community Foundations, having spent nearly eight years at the Grand Rapids Community Foundation. Her undergraduate degree is in illustration and she worked freelance for many years while working at nonprofit organizations, where she utilized her design and marketing skills for the greater good. She is looking forward to learning all about the Battle Creek area.

Finance Associate

Pam joined BCCF in August and her primary duties include receipting and acknowledging donor gifts while assisting with finance operations.

Pam is a graduate of Grand Valley State College with a bachelor’s in business administration. She worked as tax preparer for local CPA firm before staying home to raise her sons, Zach and Matt. Married to Bob Wilson III, she recently worked for Macy’s before coming to work at BCCF.
