SPRING LAKE - Local non-profit, Bluebird Cancer Retreats, continues the trend of providing hope and emotional support under the new leadership of Board President, Paige Riopelle (Development Director, Smile Grand Haven).
Paige joined Bluebird in 2010 and served as Vice President in 2011. “Paige brings a wonderful energy and vision to the organization. We have worked hard in the past 3 years to gain the support of our community, and with that, we are now positioned to offer even more outlets for emotional support and personal development for adults with cancer.” explains Executive Director, Renee Denslow.
Joining her as Vice President is Dawn Stebbins (Office Manager, West Michigan Auto Body). Dawn has served on the board of directors for 3 years and has volunteered at the retreats every year.
Wendy Swenson will continue serving as Secretary and new Board member David Garland (Bank Officer/Branch Manager, Citizens Bank) will be taking on the role of Treasurer.
Through the unique experience of weekend programs Bluebird Cancer Retreats provides hope and respite for adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. Bluebird also offers monthly programs at their Spring Enrichment Center located at 917 W. Savidge St. Suite #36.
