BATTLE CREEK — Kellogg Community College English Professor, Elizabeth Kerlikowske was selected to participate in a week long National Endowment for the Humanities workshop in Alpena about shipwrecks and maritime history July 17-23, 2011. She is one of the 50 community college employees selected nationally to attend the workshop.
“As a poet, I can’t think of a more stimulating summer experience. And as a teacher, I can only imagine all I could learn about the history, literature, and science of the lakes, the wrecks, and the methods by which we divine information,” wrote Kerlikowske in her application to attend.
