Grand Rapids - The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce has named Cindy Locklin, President & CEO of Busy Bea’s Services, Inc. as Ambassador of the Year for 2011.
The Ambassador of the Year award is presented annually to an individual who provides exemplary service to the chamber. Volunteering as the organization's customer service liaisons, ambassadors help with welcoming new members, membership retention and aiding Chamber staff at various events and programs.
“Volunteers are important to our organization,” said Rick Baker, President & CEO of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce. “We appreciate Cindy and the outstanding work she does as a Chamber Ambassador.”
Locklin joined the Chamber Ambassador team in 2010 and has welcomed more than 140 member businesses to the Chamber.
“While sharing Chamber benefits with fellow members, I’m often asked about Busy Bea’s Services. Ten percent of my revenue in 2011 came from business acquired because of my service as an Ambassador. Being an Ambassador is a win-win relationship for us both,” said Locklin.
Locklin also was recognized as one of three finalists for the Woman-Owned Business of the Year at the 2011 Chamber EPIC Awards.
