GRAND RAPIDS — Experience Grand Rapids, the greater Grand Rapids area convention and visitors bureau, announced the appointment of Daniel Jonkman as its director of finance and administration. Dan is a welcome addition to the Experience Grand Rapids team. His professional background and many years of experience with the Grand Rapids Symphony, one of our valued community partners, make him the ideal candidate for this position,said Experience Grand Rapids President Doug Small. We are thrilled to have him on board.”
Jonkman joins Experience Grand Rapids with more than 24 years of industry experience. Previously, he served 15 years as vice president for finance and human resources at the Grand Rapids Symphony. He has also held accounting positions with Williams Distributing and Deloitte. Jonkman earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and business from Aquinas College and a Master of Business Administration from Grand Valley State University. The Kentwood, native currently resides in Jenison with his wife and three children.
