BATTLE CREEK — Dawn Whitcomb, Director of Sales and Services for the Calhoun County Visitors Bureau recently received the Essential Elements of Meeting Planning Certificate from Meeting Professionals International. The certificate course provides a comprehensive educational experience and includes five modules which focused on the essential elements needed to plan and execute a successful meeting or event. Topics included program development, finance and contracts, marketing, logistics and technology.
Whitcomb said, “The Essentials of Meeting Planning helped me to better understand my customers’ needs. I am eager to put this knowledge to work and provide even better service for Calhoun County meetings.”
Whitcomb was presented her certificate at the Michigan Meeting Professionals International Celebration in June 2011. Michigan Meeting Professionals International provides education and networking for meeting planning professionals throughout the state of Michigan.
