Two Hospice groups merge

The boards of directors at St. Joseph-based Lakeland HealthCare and Hospice at Home announced in early December that they have approved the integration of Lakeland Hospice and Hospice at Home. The new organization will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Lakeland HealthCare. The decision concludes formal integration discussions that began in July of this year. The legal integration is expected to be complete by Jan. 1, 2012.
