Following a two-year quality program, Holland Hospital and its locations in Holland, Zeeland and Douglas have been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification.

“(The certification) is used throughout the world in all types of industries,” Rob Schwartz, director of quality, said in a statement. “Many of the ISO 9001:2008 principles were already in place at Holland Hospital. But by implementing a formal (quality management system) that conforms to ISO 9001:2008 standards, Holland Hospital can achieve better efficiencies, improved internal communication and increased patient satisfaction.”
