She began her career as a dental and health insurance instructor at Everest College in Kalamazoo. She then served as director of education for eleven years at Everest. Most recently, she was a division manager in charge of student retention overseeing eighteen campuses at Corinthian Colleges, Inc.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Jan. 31, 2012 – The J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FSB) and the U. S. Department of State’s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA) has announced that a Fulbright Specialist Grant Candidacy has been awarded to Davenport University Professor of Management Dr. Jack D. Cichy, CM.

Dr. Cichy was recommended by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) Specialist Peer Review Committee and approved as a Fulbright Specialist candidate. A long-time faculty member in Davenport University’s Donald W. Maine College of Business, he joined the ranks of notable scholars in the prestigious Fulbright Specialist Program by being awarded a Specialist Candidacy in Sustainable Development. Fulbright Specialist award recipients are selected on the basis of academic and professional achievement. Dr. Cichy will be one of about 400 select United States university faculty and professionals with the potential to travel abroad through the program.
