About MiBiz
MiBiz is a bi-weekly
B2B publication covering business news in the 18 county-wide area
that makes up West and Southwest Michigan. MiBiz’s
unique regional perspective has earned it a "Must Read" reputation
with executive decision-makers over any other business publication
in the region for news reporting exhibiting the highest professional
standards in business journalism. Recognized statewide and in the Midwest
with numerous awards for its business advocacy reporting, MiBiz also
was awarded the "2005 Communicator of the Year" by the Small
Business Association of Michigan in appreciation for its outstanding
dedication to communicating small business issues.
History
Founded
in 1988 by its editor/publisher, William R. Lowry, MiBiz (formerly
MiBizWest & The Shoreline Business Monthly) today presents readers
with an in-depth snapshot of the business scene throughout West Michigan
26 times
a year.
In April
2001, the company launched a second publication, MiBizSouthwest, to
broaden its news coverage into Southwest Michigan.
In
May, 2005 MiBiz converged MiBizWest & MiBizSouthwest into one paper
called MiBiz .
Bill
Lowry, Editor & Publisher of MiBizWest, was awarded "Communicator
of the Year" by the Small Business Association of Michigan
(SBAM) in appreciation for outstanding dedication to communicating
small business issues. The award ceremony & luncheon was held on
June 23, 2005 in East Lansing.
