BANNER AD SPECIFICATIONS:

• File types: GIF, JPEG or SWF.
• 3rd party ad server codes accepted.
• 72 dpi, max file size 30K.
• A border must surround the banner or one will be added.
• Advertising that simulates editorial content must include the word "Advertisement" above and below.

FLASH BANNERS:

• Creative should not exceed more than 30% of available CPU for more than 50% of the run time.
• Unlimited animation looping is allowed as long as used in a manner that does not excessively consume CPU resources.
• Must open a new browser window upon click. Use on all HREFs.
• TRACKING: Click-through functions must use the "Get URL" command. The action script code needed for the button layer in your Flash file should look exactly as it is below. ** Keep the button on its own layer at the top of all the layers so it is never covered.

TERMS:

Editorial pillar selection must be noted on contract to secure the banner ad placement for fixed and limited positions. All banners are subject to availability on a first come, first signed contract basis. Billed upon contract start date. Net due 10 days. VISA, MasterCard, Discover & American Express are accepted.

ADVERTISING POLICY:

No refunds. No extensions due to client's failure to provide copy.

BANNER AD REPORTS:

All advertisers will be given online access to generate HTML or MS Excel reports on their banner activity. Banner activity reports include number of hits (times the banner appears on the page), clicks and click-thru ratios on current banners. Quarterly activity reports available upon request.

TURN-AROUND TIME

For implementing: 10 business days on all banners.
For in-house production: 10 business days on GIF and JPEG.
Flash banners must be outsourced.
